Veera Dheera Sooran in legal trouble, here`s what happened
Actor Chiyaan Vikram`s latest film, Veera Dheera Sooran, was supposed to hit the big screen today. However, a legal controversy has delayed the same, resulting in the cancellation of multiple shows due to ongoing issues.
A Times Now report suggests that B4U approached the Delhi High Court on Wednesday to stall the release of Veera Dheera Sooran until their issues with the production house, HR Pictures, are sorted.
The report further states that the film attracted legal trouble after its early morning shows before 10 am were cancelled across PVR and Cinepolis theatres on Thursday, March 27. The shows are expected to commence in the afternoon.
Why is Veera Dheers Sooran release delayed?
B4U demands full compensation from the film`s producer, Riya Shibu, for allegedly not abiding by the contract of selling Veera Dheera Sooran`s OTT rights before its theatrical release. The Delhi High Court has placed an interim stay on the film`s release until 10:30 am on Thursday, indicating the 9 am shows were cancelled.
Another news agency also reported that the producer was asked to immediately deposit 7 crore and file all the s related to the case within 48 hours.

Furthermore, 123Telugu also reported that the film`s premiere shows were cancelled in the US due to the ongoing legal complications. This caused frustration among distributors who had already paid in advance for the film and were facing refund and rescheduling issues.
Varun, the co-founder of OTT platform Tendkotta and founder of SJ Cinemas, questioned this incompetent practice that frequently occurs in Tamil cinemas.

The upcoming Tamil action thriller is also stylised as Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. Helmed by SU Kumar and music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, the movie also stars SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu (in his Tamil debut), Dushara Vijayan, and Siddique.
The film follows the trajectory of SS Rajamouli`s Baahubali, with a prequel, Part 1, which is yet to go on the floors.
The film revolves around Kaali (Vikram), who is a common man owning a provision store. But things take a dark turn after he gets involved in a dangerous crime network and embarks on a mysterious mission.
For now, fans have to wait a little longer to see Vikram`s power-packed performance in Veera Dheera Sooran.
