We have a new update on Vikram Gokhale's health and there's still a ray of hope. The veteran actor's daughter said in a statement that he is not dead yet. However, his condition is quite critical. Doctors have currently put him on life support. Vikram Gokhale was admitted to a private hospital in Pune and its been 15 days he is still fighting for his life.

For the unversed, Vikram Gokhale was suffering from a prolonged illness and his condition deteriorated as the days passed. Currently, the actor has been put on a ventilator and hasn't responded to touch. His wife said he slipped into a coma yesterday night and hasn't responded to touch yet. The doctors will wait till tomorrow and then a decision will be taken about how to proceed further.

Elaborating on the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actor's health condition, Vikram's family friend Rajesh Damale said, "In the last 24 hours, his health has been very critical. The doctors are trying their best. He is fighting since last the 24 hours. Multiple organ failure has been reported. Updates will be shared as and when there is a development in his health. He is not responding to the medicines as expected by the doctors. However, the doctors are trying hard for his revival."

The veteran television star and theatre artist is admitted to Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. Sharing an insider health update, the hospital's official report didn't have good news either. It read,"A meeting between family of renowned actor Mr. Vikram Gokhale and treating doctors took place at 10.00 am and this is the official press statement from the hospital. Noted Actor Mr. Vikram Gokhale is on ventilatory support. He is very much alive and is being treated in critical care unit. All efforts are being made for his recovery. News about he is being deeply comatose and unresponsive are completely false. We will update his health status as an when required (sic)."
