Back in 2023, Varun Dhawan was asked by a reporter about his plans to have a baby. He was attending the Zee Cine Awards with Alia Bhatt at the time, and the 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' actor had a hilarious response to the reporter's question.

For the unversed, this funny back and forth happened a while ago, long before
the 'Bhediya' actor announced that he'd become a father. At the time, Alia Bhatt had recently given birth to her daughter Raha with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor.
In the conversation with the reporter, he asked Alia a few questions about becoming a mother. The reporter also revealed that he had a baby not long ago. He then turned to Varun Dhawan, asking about his plans to become a father.

Alia was in stitches when Varun replied. She laughed and told the reporter, 'Why will he (Varun) tell you his plans?'
Varun carried on the banter, saying, 'Main apni biwi se baat karta hun ki aapne aise bola hai ki aaj se planning shuru karo.' (I'll confide with my wife, as you have suggested we start planning today itself.)

Varun Dhawan will be next seen in the film 'Baby John', expected to release sometime this year. Varun will star alongside Keerthi Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in this A. Kaleeswaran directorial.
In addition, Varun Dhawan will also lead the upcoming movie 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film will be a romantic comedy directed by Shashank Khaitan under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will reportedly be released some time next year, as the makers have yet to announce a final date.
