Salman Khan is all set to return to the big screens with a bang with Tiger 3. It is the much-awaited sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai, and fans cannot wait to see what lies in the action-packed film.

With advance booking opening up, Tiger 3 has already sold more than 1,40,000 tickets. That amounts to over 4.2 crore on the opening day. This is just the beginning, as there is still a week before its release on November 12. If it continues to build up with the same momentum, the Salman-Katrina starrer will do wonders at the box office.

Salman Khan is not new to breaking box-office records. He has hits to his name like Tiger Zinda Hai, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Kick, Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Dabangg, and many more. Almost all of his films have crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office. Now, with Tiger 3, he is expected to return to form, as his last releases have not fared well at the box office.

Although the ticket numbers are lower compared to Jawan and Gadar 2, the film is expected to gain momentum on the second and third days. The reason for this is that Laxmi Pooja is releasing, which will see people getting busy with the festivities. Considering the holiday season, it will definitely rise in the coming days.

This week is crucial to determining the film's performance in the first three days at the box office. With the makers releasing more posters and teasers as the date nears, it is raising expectations even more.

The trailer for the film was released last month and had everyone hooked on Salman and Katrina doing intense stunts. Apart from the two, Emraan Hashmi's portrayal as the villain is getting much love. Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma, who previously directed Dan, starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Tiger 3 takes the story from Tiger Zinda Hai while also following the events of Pathaan and War. It is reported that Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan will be doing a cameo in the film as agents in the YRF Spy Universe.

The film has a U/A certificate from the censors and has a runtime of over 2 hours and 33 minutes.
