The Railway Men is a story based on the fearless and courageous contribution of the railway employees who saved the lives of several people trapped in the helpless city.

upcoming web series will be released on Netflix. It is based on a real-life incident of a gas leak that happened in Bhopal, which shook the entire nation. The out-and-out thriller will keep the audience hooked till the very end.
In the first look of The Railway Men, R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan can be seen with half of their faces covered with a cloth, hinting at saving themselves from inhaling the poisonous gas.

What was the Bhopal gas tragedy?
The Bhopal disaster occurred on the nights of December 2 and 3, 1984, at the Union Carbide India Limited pesticide plant in the city. The initial investigation showed a large volume of water had been introduced into the MIC tank, which caused a chemical reaction, thus forcing the gas to leak.
Methyl isocyanate, a deadly and poisonous gas, is released from an insecticide plant. Over 3,500 people died over two days, and more than 15,000 deaths were observed over the years.
People who survived the disastrous situation continue to live with chronic illnesses such as bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, recurrent chest infections, and more.
The Bhopal disaster has forced people who were born a year after the tragedy to live with cancer, disabilities, and poverty.
