Tanushree Dutta breaks down amid claims of being harassed in her own home
Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who is a prominent name in the Hindi film industry, broke down in her recent Instagram video and claimed to have faced harassment at her own home. She was seen crying inconsolably and even mentioned lodging a police complaint.
She came forward with allegations of being tortured at her home since 2018, the time when Tanushree opened up about the #MeToo movement and allegedly accused several prominent stars of sexually harassing her.
On Tuesday night, she took to Instagram and shared a distressed video, expressing her concerns. She stated that the harassment has been going on ever since she shared her outspoken stance on the #MeToo row.
With tears, she said she would be going to the police station to file a formal complaint about the unwanted intrusions at her home.

In the video, the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress detailed the incident, emphasisingthe emotional toll it has taken on her. She even mentioned this has been going on for the past four to five years.
"Guys, I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere he ghar mein pareshaan kiya ja raha hai. I just called the cops, and they have asked me to visit a police station and lodge a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow and do that; I am not keeping well," Dutta said.

She further added, "Mujhe itna pareshaan kiya gaya hai pichle 4-5 saalo me ki meri tabiyat kharab ho gayi hai (I have been tortured so much in the last 4-5 years that it has taken a toll on my health). I am not able to do anything; my house is a mess."
"I cannot even hire maids because they planted maids in my house... I had such bad experiences with maids, coming in and stealing and doing all kinds of things. I have to do all my work. Please come outside my door and…" she continued, but paused, choosing not to disclose whom she referred to as "they".
"I am being troubled in my own house; please, someone help me," Tanushree concluded.
Is Tanushree Dutta losing her sanity?
In another Instagram video, the Dhol actress spoke about hearing some noises in her background, such as loud banging on her roof or outside her door.
Captioning the video, she wrote, "I have also dealt with loud noises like this and other very, very loud banging noises above my roof and outside my door almost every day at odd hours since 2020! I got tired of complaining to the building management and gave up a few years ago."

Tanushree Dutta also claimed that she has been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and that chanting `Hindu mantras` has kept her sane.
"Today I was so unwell; as you guys know, I have developed chronic fatigue syndrome due to dealing with constant stress and anxiety for the last 5 years, and this was going on all day and evening, way past acceptable and allowed hours!"
"Imagine... Yesterday I posted, and today this! Ab samajh jao sab log ki what I`ve been dealing with. Aur bhi bahut kuch hai jo FIR mein mention karoongi," she elaborated.
Reaction from fans and the media has been largely supportive of Tanushree, with many rallying behind her courageous act in the #MeToo movement.
