Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath was one of the most loved movies of 2018. With scenic locations, soothing songs, and a tragic love story - the movie was a perfect blend of romance and drama. As Kedarnath turns 4 today, director Abhishek Kapoor penned a heartfelt note and thanked the actor for portraying Mansoor.

Expressing his gratitude to work on what he calls his dream project, Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor wrote, "It's the all consuming drive to tell a story that gives one the energy to go through incredible hardships and a belief that the story MUST be told. I am forever grateful to the powers above that gave me the opportunity to deliver #kedarnath. #jaibholenath."

In an interview, Kapoor got candid and shared how Mansoor was SSR's finest performance. He said, "The movie was an adventure from start to finish. While conceptualising itself, we knew we were fighting an uphill battle, but even now thinking about it, the sheer grit, passion, and devotion it took to make it, sends shivers down our spine."

Thanking Sushant for bringing soul to the character, he further added, "I am extremely grateful that we made it and that I got the opportunity to work with Sushant again and experience the force of pure energy that he was. I really do believe Mansoor was one of Sushant's finest works."

It was in 2021 during the lockdown when we lost Sushant Singh Rajput. While some named his death as a conspired murder, others called it a suicide as he was found hanging from in his Mumbai apartment. We miss you SSR.
