Sunny Deol is soaring high after the success of Gadar 2, and everyone wants to do a film with him now. He proved why he is still a major box-office puller with the overwhelming success of Gadar 2. After that, Aamir Khan signed a film with him, and he is doing some other big films as well.

Now, it is reported that Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta are going to come together to make a sequel to the 1997 hit film Border, in which Sunny Deol played an important role. It is reported that Ayushmann Khurranna has been roped in to play the role alongside Sunny Deol, and the film will be set in the background of the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

Further, the director of powerful films like Kesari and Punjab 1984, Anurag Singh, is supposed to helm the project. The report said, "Anurag Singh has made a big budget war drama in the period set up like Kesar. He also has a knack for making hard-hitting content, like Punjab 1984. Seeing his talent to sensitively handle political scenarios and the ability to mount film on a certain scale, the makers are in advance talks to have him on board for Border 2."

After mulling over some other filmmakers like Om Raut (Adipurush, Tanhaji) and Sankalp Reddy (Gaazi Attack), Anurag Singh has been finalized, and he is already reworking on the draft of the script created by the team of JP Dutta. It is also deemed to be the biggest war film ever made in India, and technicians from all over the country are to be roped in for the project.

Border 2 will be based on a true story and bring out the values of patriotism with high-octane action and heartwrenching emotions. Sunny Deol has yet to give his nod to the film and is negotiating his pay with the producers, the report claimed. As regards Ayushmann, it is said that "Ayushmann had heard the earlier version and was on board, but now he will also decide once he hears the quality of his role in the final draft."

It remains to be seen what further development this takes. It is definitely going to be resounding news for fans of both Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurranna.
