Shah Rukh Khan left the internet shaking and quaking with his glorious Met Gala 2025 debut. Keeping the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" in mind, Sabyasachi customised an all-black outfit for the superstar. The final look left the fans in awe.
In over three decades of his career, SRK has been away from walking the carpets at these prestigious events. While talking to the hosts, he expressed his nervousness about being a first-timer at the Met.
Now, the actor took to social media and shared a heartfelt message for Sabyasachi, thanking him for making him feel comfortable in a space that wasn`t his own.

The Dilwale actor took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Thx Sabyasachi & ur whole team for introducing me to the Met Gala. It`s not my `space`, but you made me feel so comfortable...because you, like me, believe...style & fashion...is just being who you are. And all of you made me feel like a `K`!"

For King Khan`s Met Gala debut, Sabyasachi created a black elongated floor-length coat from Tasmanian superfine wool with Japanese horn buttons. The coat was hand canvassed, single-breasted with wide lapels.

A soft satin shirt with a pleated satin kamarbandh completed the look. Shah Rukh Khan accessorised the look with a custom stack and complemented it with the Bengal Tiger Head Cane crafted in 18K gold, sapphires, and brilliant-cut diamonds.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is also SRK`s close friend, was among the first Bollywood celebs to react to his look. He took to Instagram stories and wrote, "ALL HAIL the KING of the MET. The internet just broke into a gazillion hearts!!!!! @iamsrk .... Bhai, you RULE!"
Sabyasachi on collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan
The internet was all frenzy when the designer-actor collaboration was announced. The Met Gala 2025 also marked Sabyasachi`s debut on the blue carpet.
Talking about collaborating with SRK, the designer said, "Shah Rukh Khan is one of the greatest superstars in the world. A cinematic hero, his blockbuster performances and leading-man charisma have created a legendary international fan following."
"My interpretation of the Black Dandy is demonstrating his superstardom on a global stage. Dressed in classic menswear with the maximalist flourish of Sabyasachi, Shah Rukh Khan is a magician, superstar, and icon. Period," he concluded.
