One of the finest cricketers in Indian cricket history, Rohit Sharma has set some tremendous records, especially in the ongoing T20 tournament. He roared back to form in yesterday`s Mumbai vs. Chennai match, leading his team to victory.
The former skipper soared back into action after hitting a brilliant knock of 76 runs off 45 balls. His dismissal had become one of the biggest points of worry for Mumbai. It was yesterday against Chennai that he converted a start into a big score.
Amid the same, Rohit Sharma effortlessly surpassed Virat Kohli in the T20 championship list of honours. With his knock of 76 runs, he was named the Player of the Match against Chennai. This was the 20th time in his T20 career that the Hitman had emerged as a winner for his team.

The batter slammed four boundaries and six maximums in his 76-run knock, leading Mumbai to a glorious nine-wicket win against Chennai. This marked Rohit`s first fifty in this season of the T20 league after disappointing scores of 0, 8, 13, 17, 18, and 26.
While receiving the award, Rohit Sharma said, “After being here for a long time, it`s easy to start doubting yourself and start doing different things. It was important for me to practice well, and hit the ball well. When you are clear in your mind, things like this can happen.”

"It has been a while (getting a big score) but if you doubt yourself, you put pressure on yourself. It is important to balance how you want to play. Today I wanted to hit the ball but it was also important to hold the shape and extend the arms. And then if the ball is in the arc, I want to try what I always do. It has not been happening consistently, but I am not going to doubt myself," the former Mumbai captain added.
Mumbai will next face Hyderabad on April 23.
