Rock On 2: Trailer of Farhan Akhtar-Shraddha Kapoor starrer lacks the punch

The makers of ‘Rock On 2’ unveiled the trailer of the film through social media on Monday evening. Frankly going through the rushes of the film, you feel that the trailer was not edited well enough as it fails to put across the underlying theme of the much-awaited sequel. It comes across that the film is trying to convey two parallel storylines. One, being the new challenges that lie ahead of the band Magik and the other, the conflicting battle that Shraddha Kapoor’s character Jiah faces, who is musically talented but suffers from stage fright. Somehow, the two storylines fail to intersect through the trailer and leaves us wanting for more. We only hope that the movie lives upto its prequel, as the music of the film has not seen great reception either. Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the movie stars Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai and Shashank Arora.
