SS Rajamouli, the director of 'RRR' and 'Baahubali', announced his next project, temporarily titled SSMB 29, during a
screening of RRR in Japan on Monday. The film will star Mahesh Babu in the lead role and is expected to start filming in the coming months.

Reports suggest that SSMB 29 will be a forest adventure film inspired by the Hollywood classic, Indiana Jones. Mahesh Babu's character will draw inspiration from Lord Hanuman. The film will be shot in various locations across different countries, including the deep forests of Africa. Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of SSMB 29, has revealed that the film may feature some renowned Hollywood names. The writer also said that the story will draw inspiration from Lord Hanuman's valour and determination, as well as the plot of the Ramayana, with an added touch of Rajamouli's creativity.

SS Rajamouli revealed some details of his upcoming film: 'It's an adventure film along the lines of 'Indiana Jones', but much more modern and much more expansive in setting.'
While announcing this project at the movie screening, SS Rajamouli said, 'We started my next film. We completed the writing, and we are in the pre-production process. But we haven't finished the casting yet. Only the hero is locked his name is Mahesh Babu. He is a very good actor. Many of you know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast, and during the release, I will bring him here.'
SSMB 29 cast and crew
Currently, the casting process is not yet finished, and only the lead role, played by Mahesh Babu, has been confirmed by the director. Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are being considered for the female lead, but this news has not been confirmed yet. Additionally, some reports state that Hritik Roshan, the actor from 'War', is being considered for a role opposite Mahesh Babu.
The film will be directed by SS Rajamouli and written by Vijayendra Prasad. It will be produced by KL Narayana of Durga Arts, while the music will be provided by MM Keeravaani, the 2023 Oscar winner.
It has also been reported that
the 'Guntur Kaaram' actor will receive a share of the profits instead of regular fees as compensation for his work. This system of remuneration has become increasingly popular among celebrities due to its comparative profitability.
