Ravi Mohan and Aarti
The ongoing marital discord between Tamil actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife, Aarti, has taken another public turn. After Aarti accused him of being an absentee father, Ravi Mohan released a comprehensive four-page statement, painting a starkly different picture of their relationship and his reasons for what he termed his `silence` – a tactic, he claims, to `survive`. The couple, currently embroiled in a divorce battle, have been trading accusations of emotional and physical abuse through various public declarations.
Mohan expressed his resolve, stating, "I will not allow anyone from my past ties in marriage to manipulate cheap sympathy for personal gain or borrowed fame. This isn`t a game to me. It`s my life, my truth, and my healing. I remain fully committed to the legal process and trust it will bring truth to light. I will continue to navigate this with dignity, grounded in respect for both justice and myself (sic)."
The `Ponniyin Selvan` actor elaborated on his experience within the marriage, describing a feeling of being `caged` and alleging severe abuse. "As an adult and as a survivor of years of physical, mental, emotional and severe financial abuse (sad to add), I was also caged in isolation from even meeting my own parents through these years, trapped in a reality that became unbearable despite every single attempt to heal and save my marriage; I finally found the strength to walk away from a life that had become unliveable," he wrote. He emphasised, "Choosing to walk away was not a decision made lightly – and so, I write this to you with a heavy heart (sic)."
Mohan categorically denied the claims made against him: "Let me be clear, I categorically deny these fabricated claims. I will continue to stand in my truth, as I always have – with dignity, with resilience, and with faith in justice." He also addressed Aarti’s previous request to not be referred to as an `ex-wife`, adding a poignant note: "(PS: The term ex was coined in my heart the minute I chose to leave home, and it will remain so until I breathe my last) (sic)."
Ravi Mohan had announced his separation from Aarti in September 2023, a decision Aarti claimed was made `without her consent` and left her `blindsided`. Following the separation, rumours began circulating about Ravi Mohan`s relationship with singer and therapist Kenishaa Francis, especially after they were reportedly seen together.
Addressing these rumours, Mohan described Kenishaa as a crucial support system. “With regards to Keneeshaa Francis, who was initially a friend that chose to save a drowning man, very quickly became a lifeline of support when I had nothing but tears, blood, and the courage to walk away from a life that nearly broke me,” he stated, calling her a "beautiful companion" who "carries light." He strongly refuted any insinuation that she was responsible for the divorce, asserting, “No one can be a home-wrecker or destroy my life.”
The actor concluded his lengthy post with the caption, "All these years I was being stabbed in the back; now I`m only glad that I`m being stabbed in the chest. First and Final One From My Desk! With love, Ravi Mohan, `Live and Let Live` (sic)." The couple had married in 2009.

Mohan`s Counter-Allegations
In his recent statement posted on social media, Ravi Mohan vehemently denied Aarti`s allegations, particularly the claim of him being an uninvolved parent. He accused his estranged wife of using their children as `tools` to construct a deceptive `public narrative`.Mohan expressed his resolve, stating, "I will not allow anyone from my past ties in marriage to manipulate cheap sympathy for personal gain or borrowed fame. Concerns Over Children and Public Narrative
A significant portion of Ravi Mohan`s statement conveyed his distress over the involvement of their children in the public feud. "What breaks me most is seeing my children used as tools in a public narrative rooted in financial gain and to sway public sympathy, while I`ve been deliberately kept away from them since our separation (sic)," he lamented. He further claimed that his access to his children has been severely restricted, with bouncers allegedly accompanying them.Ravi Mohan had announced his separation from Aarti in September 2023, a decision Aarti claimed was made `without her consent` and left her `blindsided`.
