Ranveer Singh breaks silence on romancing Sara Arjun
The internet is shaking and quaking after the trailer of Dhurandhar was dropped on Tuesday afternoon. The makers of the much-anticipated film finally unveiled the key characters without revealing much about the plot, keeping the intrigue alive among moviegoers.
Along with the storyline, the age gap between Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun also raised many eyebrows. While Bollywood is normalising the on-screen age gap, Ranveer had a rather definitive explanation on how Sara was the right fit for the role.
During the trailer launch, the superstar lauded the young actress and finally opened up about working with the 20-year-old co-star.

At the Durandhar trailer launch, the lead actor opened up about romancing a co-star who is two decades younger than him. For the uninitiated, Sara has previously worked in multiple films, including Mani Ratnam`s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan.

Comparing her to a Hollywood actress, Singh said, "Sara here is a prodigy. You will get to know. Some people are just like a child prodigy. Once Dakota Fanning came to Hollywood. I think, Sara, it`s a testament to the fact that you beat thousands of other candidates to land this part."
He further continued that it felt as if Sara Arjun had already done fifty films – a metaphorical expression to praise her performance in Dhurandhar.
"She is so precocious as a person, as a performer. You are one of the finest actors that I have shared the screen with. You make me look better," he added.
Shedding light on Sara`s previous work, Ranveer said, "Obviously, somebody who I love and respect a lot, Mr Mani Ratnam sir, you`ve acted in his films as well. And you`ve shown your potential. And this is when the world will see you on the big stage. And I`m really, really happy."

Along with Ranveer Singh, the movie also features R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles, with each offering a never-seen-before cinematic performance.
Dhurandhar will see a theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
