January 22 marks an iconic date in the history of India as Ayodhya gets back its Ram Mandir. The historic temple was inaugurated today, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen headlining the event. For the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, around 7,000 prominent figures of the country were invited, including celebrities, business tycoons, sportspersons, and more. One of them was Virat Kohli, and the other was Anushka Sharma.

The actress and the cricketer received the invitation for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in person. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were offered the official invitation card, thus requesting their presence at the historic event. However, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress wasn't seen in Ayodhya.

Why did Anushka Sharma skip the Ram Mandir Inauguration?

While many celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Kangana Ranaut, among others, were seen at the Ram Mandir inaugration ceremony, Virat Kohli arrived alone without his wife.

A video of Virat's car arriving at Ayodhya is going viral on the internet. However, Anushka wasn't seen in it. Apart from this, when the former Indian skipper arrived at the airport, he traveled solo.

This sparked Anushka's second pregnancy rumors and made fans even more curious. The Ram Mandir inauguration and Pran Pratishtha ceremony are over, but no signs of the actress have been spotted in Ayodhya. Till now, there's been no update on whether she will be visiting the divine destination.

The actress-cricketer couple received an official invitation to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya temple. A picture of them shows Anushka Sharma in an off-white salwar suit with her dupatta covering her belly.

The Sui Dhaaga actress shares a special connection with Ram Janmabhoomi. She was born on May 1, 1988, in Ayodhya's military hospital. This was the time when her father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, served as an army officer.
