Akshay Kumar is back with yet another entertaining mythology-drama and this time, it is a sequel to one of his most-loved movies. Sharing the poster of his upcoming film Oh My God 2, Akshay is seen in an unrecognizable avatar as he poses as Lord Shiva.

The actor is seen wearing a dhoti, ash smeared on his face, a beaded necklace around his neck, and sporting dreadlocks reaching to his knees. He is even holding a damru, which is Lord Shiva's staple instrument.

Sharing the poster, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Aa rahe hain hum, aaiyega aap bhi (We are coming, you also join us). 11th August. In theatres. OMG 2." Yami Gautam, who plays the female lead, also shared the date announcement poster. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi in a prominent role.

Fans React To OMG 2 Date Announcement Poster

As soon as the poster went up, fans started to chant 'Har Har Mahadev' in the comment section. One user wrote, 'Aap aaye aur ham na aaye, Ye thodi na koi bat hai sir (You are coming and we won't come - this cannot happen).' Another fan commented, 'Bhai log ye pakka blockbuster hogi (This film will be a blockbuster).'

OMG 2 To Clash With Gadar 2

The Akshay Kumar - Pankaj Tripathi starrer will clash with Sunny Deol - Amisha Patel's Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues. Both films are highly anticipated as moviegoers are excited to see what the sequel holds.

OMG 2 will release on August 11. Akshay shared his first look at the movie back in 2021. However, the film's release was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

OMG 2 Plot And Storyline

The first part of mythology-drama was based on corrupt religious practitioners and how the so-called God's messengers are fooling their devotees in the name of faith. Bringing the harsh reality on the big screen, OMG 2 is likely to revolve around the Indian education system.

Helmed by Amit Rai and produced by Vipul D. Shah, the movie will touch upon points like exam pressures and college admissions.
