New mom Kiara Advani is having the time of her life after she welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with Sidharth Malhotra. The couple revealed their baby`s name, Saraayah, which means `princess` in Arabic.
Amid embracing motherhood and working on Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups, the actress shared her views on the ongoing debate of 8-hour work shifts in the film industry.
After Deepika Padukone walked out of Spirit due to her specific demand for an 8-hour schedule, the move sparked a debate, with several filmmakers and actors sharing their opinions on the same.

In her recent interview with Vogue, Kiara opened up about the ongoing debate of the idea of an eight-hour shift in the film industry and said, “Burnout helps no one in any industry.”
She also spoke about the ‘three-word mantra’ that she uses at work and at home – “Dignity. Balance. Respect.” When asked about what cures her mental exhaustion, she sweetly said, “the sound of Saraayah giggling in her sleep.”

The War 2 actress also opened up about how motherhood has redefined her, making her more focused and ambitious. She said, “I’ve never been more ambitious. Motherhood expands you. The fire within you becomes more focused.”
For Kiara, moments with Saraayah have taken over anything else.

“When I’m with Saraayah, I’m really with her. When I bathe her, I notice everything—her eyelashes, her tiny fingers, her giggles. These micro-moments feel so precious,” she added.

The doting mother also shared her views on recovering post-delivery and how she was kinder than ever to her body.
“After delivery, a part of me thought, ‘I’ve done this before; I’ll do it again.’ Then I realised it’s not about having the best body. Now, whatever shape or size I am in, I will always respect my body. You have to respect what your body can do for you.”
On July 15, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra welcomed their first daughter, Saraayah. They took to Instagram and announced the exciting news: “Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl.”
On the work front, Kiara will next be seen in Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups, which also stars Yash.
