Musician Vishal Dadlani Bids Farewell to Indian Idol After Six Seasons

The curtains have closed on a significant chapter for the popular singing reality show Indian Idol. After six consecutive seasons shaping aspiring singers, renowned musician and composer Vishal Dadlani has announced his departure as a judge. Fans and colleagues alike are reacting to the news, marking the end of an era for the beloved show.
His message on the video stated, "That`s all from me, folks! Six straight seasons later, tonight is my last episode as a judge on Indian Idol. I hope the show will miss me as much as I`ll miss it." He expressed deep affection for the platform, calling the stage "pure LOVE!"
Explaining his decision in the post`s caption, Dadlani was candid about his need for a change. "I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back," he shared. The commitment required for the show meant long periods away from his other passions.

He stated he is leaving "because he can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year". The musician is eager to refocus, adding it`s "time to get back to making music, playing concerts and almost never putting on make-up".
Dadlani expressed immense gratitude for his time on Indian Idol. "Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi," he wrote, translating to, "Goodbye friends. I`ll remember this much more than the fun I had in 6 seasons."
He acknowledged the overwhelming affection received, saying, "Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki vajah se (Got more love than I can ask for this show). Eternally grateful to everyone involved." He extended thanks to his co-judges, host Aditya Narayan, the contestants, the production crew, technicians, and everyone who made the show feel like home.

Vishal Dadlani`s presence, known for his insightful feedback and encouraging mentorship since Season 10 (and previously on Indian Idol Junior), will certainly be missed. As Season 15 crowned Manasi Ghosh its winner, the show now looks towards a future without one of its most consistent faces.

Vishal Dadlani took to Instagram to share the news with his followers, posting a behind-the-scenes video featuring fellow judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah.
