Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Shobana will be back together on screen after more than 15 years. The actor shared an Instagram post to announce that filming for his next movie, tentatively titled L360, started this Monday. The post shows the couple shaking hands on the film set.

Mohanlal and Shobana reunited for L360, shooting commenced

Mohanlal shared a few photos from the puja ceremony held before the filming, writing, 'On the set, joining in prayers as we start filming the project led by director Tharun Moorthy. I'm really grateful, and I'd love your blessings as I start my 360th film venture.' The pictures were probably taken on the set of the upcoming film. One of them shows the two actors shaking hands in a formal greeting. Others show the excitement and hustle on set, with one picture of Shobana and Mohanlal with the entire crew.

Mohanlal and Shobana are one of the most beloved on-screen couples in the Malayalam film industry. The pair were last seen together fifteen years ago in the 2009 film 'Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded'. However, they weren't paired romantically in this film. The last time they were the leads in a romantic plot was back in 2004 for the film Mambazhakkalam. This means Mohanlal and Shobana will be back together after almost two decades, and fans are excited.

It's worth noting that the pair have appeared in more than 50 films together. Some of the most memorable ones include Nadodikattu, Minnaram, Manichitrathazhu, Thenmavin Kombath, Pakshe, Maya Mayura, Ulladakkam, Vellanakalude Naadu, Pavithram, and TP Balagopalan MA.

More about L360

The upcoming film is directed by Tharun Moorthy and also written by Moorthy in collaboration with KR Sunil. The production is headed by M. Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media.

Details about the upcoming film's plot and cast are not officially announced yet, but with the reunion of the Malayalam film industry's most loved pair, fans expect a romantic drama with a warm story that could resonate with audiences.
