Mahabharat Fame Nitish Bharadwaj Files Mental Harrasment Complaint Against Ex-Wife

-

Who doesn't remember B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat and the trend it created back in the 1980s? Nitish Bharadwaj, who played Lord Krishna in Mahabharat, is currently headlining the Bollywood news, and the reason is his controversial divorce from his wife, Smita Gate. The actor has now filed a complaint against his estranged wife for mental harassment.

It all started after Smita Gate abducted their two twin daughters and did not allow Nitish Bharadwaj to meet them. On Wednesday, the TV actor submitted a written complaint to the Bhopal Police Commissioner, Harinarayaran Chari Mishra.

Following his complaint, a probe has already been initiated.

Nitish Bharadwaj's complaint against Smita Gate

In the complaint, the actor claimed that his estranged wife, IAS Smita Gate, was not allowing him to meet his twin daughters and sought the help of the police. She is currently posted in Bhopal.

Bhopal Police Commissioner Mishra revealed some details about Bharadwaj's complaint and said, 'We have received the complaint from Nitish Bharadwaj that he is not being allowed to meet his daughters. Additional Commissioner of Police Shalini Dikshit has been asked to initiate a probe.'

Nitish also mentioned that his wife abducted his daughters and is not aware of their whereabouts. The complaint also mentioned that the actor was subjected to mental torture and that his daughters were taken out of the boarding school without his knowledge. They are now sent to an unknown place.

While Nitish Bharadwaj demands a case be filed against his estranged wife, he also mentioned that their previous marital dispute is still pending in a family court.

As per the family court, Nitish has the legal right to meet his daughters. However, Smita intends to keep him away, thus forcing Bharadwaj into the custody of their children.

Smita Gate's lawyer calls Nitish Bharadwaj's claims defamtory

After their family drama caught the attention of the public, IAS Smita Gate's lawyer has finally responded to Nitish Bharadwaj's complaint. Smita's representative, Chinmay Vaidya, called the claims false and defamatory.

He said, "It is a personal matter where my client's children are involved, and the case is sub judice. We shall be releasing a statement shortly, narrating the facts."
A detailed report is expected to be released by the end of this week.

Nitish Bharadwaj and Smita Gate filed for divorce in 2018 and have been living separately ever since.
