Koffee With Karan 8: Sara Ali Khan Reveals Why She Prefers Zara Over Designer Clothes And Shoes

-

If there's one trend that every Bollywood fan is crazy about, it has to be Koffee With Karan 8. The new season of the unfamous chat show intends to bring out the unseen and relatable side of celebrities, thus bringing you closer to your favorite stars.

With Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh opening the season, it was Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol who raised the emotional bar in the second episode.

Now, the third episode of Koffee With Karan 8 will have Bollywood BFFs Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday grace the couch. With the two star kids spilling some hot and steamy beans, Karan Johar ensures this one is full of lesser-known revelations and full of fire.

Why does Sara Ali Khan not prefer designer clothes or shoes?

In a segment, the host asked the Simmba actress why she prefers ordinary and non-designer labels over designer clothes, bags, and shoes. If you haven't noticed, Sara is always seen dressed in simple ethnic wear, unless it is a high-end fancy event she has to be a part of.

Apart from award functions, movie promotions, and other Bollywood events, Sara Ali Khan is always seen wearing simple and comfortable clothes, carrying non-designer bags, and even opting for non-glitzy shoes.

While her BFF Ananya Panday is polar opposite and drowned in designer wear, Karan Johar brought up the question, asking if this is her way to stay relatable to her fans.

With Sara being equally street smart, her reply won several hearts. She said, 'It is not like I don't have designer bags and shoes. I don't believe in wearing designer clothes because I look fine in Zara. I feel I have the confidence to carry it off.'

She further added that this isn't a stint to come off as a relatable Gen Z actress.

'I don't do it to come across as relatable, but maybe what I need to be aware of is that I am an actor and I have a good amount of followers on Instagram. It's important because I am putting myself out there. So, perceptions are key,' said the Zara Hatke Zara Bachke actress.

She further elaborated on her personal choices and how the trends don't really work for her. Having said that, her take on fashion is rather mindful.

"What I should be careful of is that I shouldn't come across as lazy I shouldn't come across as unkept, so maybe I don't need oil in my hair, but I don't think I will ever say, 'Oh, I need a blow dry. I am going to the airport.' I find that ridiculous, and I am not going to apologize for that either," said Sara Ali Khan.
