The new episode of Koffee With Karan 8 featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor. Both of them gave a lot of insights about their personal lives and became vulnerable while discussing certain things. Arjun Kapoor discussed his tryst with the box office and how he dealt with failures. Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur was seen evading questions about his relationship with Ananya Panday.

Interestingly, Kartik Aaryan came up in discussion as well during the episode. Kartik Aaryan is set to replace Aditya in the third part of the Aashiqui franchise. Aditya Roy Kapur rose to fame after the highly successful Aashiqui 2 that resonated with audiences.

When Karan asked Aditya how he felt seeing Kartik replace him in the third part, Aditya responded by saying that it didn't bother him at all. He said, "There was no chance I could be in this, because in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning."

Arjun pitched in between these and added, "Then he became the night manager after that."

Aditya said that Kartik is perfect to play the part. "So I feel like it's great. I died, ya. Where will I come back now? My spirit will come back." Taking this thread ahead, Karan said, "He'll haunt Kartik Aaryan." To which Aditya replied, "Yeah, he's hovering over Kartik Aaryan. He's the villain." Karan ended the conversation by saying that it was a good idea.

Aashiqui 3 will be directed by Barfi director Anurag Basu, who is known to bring his own originality to films. His last film, Ludo, was written, shot, and directed by him. It received a lot of accolades from everyone. With Aashiqui 3, Kartik is all set to collaborate with Anurag Basu for the very first time.
