Kiara Advani to play Meena Kumari in her biopic
Ever since veteran actress Meena Kumari`s biopic has been announced, many actresses are eyeing to play the part of the ambitious project. The rights have been acquired by Sidharth P. Malhotra in collaboration with Saregama and the Amrohi family.
With this strong backing, the film has been announced, and it is already garnering significant buzz. However, the cast hasn`t been finalised yet. But a little birdie tells us the makers have approached Kiara Advani to play the role of Meena Kumari, the tragedy queen of Indian cinema.
Sources close to the project revealed that the mommy-to-be was approached to play the leading lady in the upcoming biopic. The film`s director and the creative team believe that Kiara has the perfect grace, charm, poise, and everything that resembles the late veteran actress.
The script and details have already been narrated to her. While the Kabir Singh actress has loved the narration, she is yet to give her positive nod. If things materialise, the biopic could mark Kiara Advani`s return to the big screen post-pregnancy.

This surely could increase the anticipation, as fans are already curious to know what she has been working on next. After announcing her first pregnancy with Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara walked out of Don 2 to focus on motherhood.

Playing Indian cinema`s tragedy queen would certainly be one of the most challenging yet fulfilling roles for the Satyaprem Ki Katha actress, as she would have to channel emotions from deep within to give life to Meena Kumari`s story.
While the sources refrained from revealing further details about the storyline, production, cast, etc., the mommy-to-be has also been tight-lipped about the same.
Another interesting aspect is who will be cast opposite her as Kamal Amrohi, the legendary filmmaker and Kumari`s former husband. The chemistry between the leads will surely transport you back to the golden era.
On the work front, Kiara Advani will next be seen in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and J2. NTR. The Ayan Mukerji directorial further adventures into the life of secret agent Kabir Dhaliwal as he embarks on a challenging journey to protect his country.
