Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra welcome a baby girl
Congratulations are in order for Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, as they are now ecstatic parents to a baby girl. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Tuesday, July 15. Both the mother and the baby are happy and healthy.
On Tuesday, Kiara was rushed to Mumbai`s Reliance Hospital. A source close to the development tells us that the baby was born via a normal delivery. The couple took to Instagram and shared an adorable announcement post.
They wrote, "Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl. Kiara and Sidharth." Take a look.

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra`s parenthood journey
The Shershaah couple announced their pregnancy in February earlier this year. They shared a lovely announcement post holding a pair of yellow baby socks in their hands. Their caption read, "The greatest gift of our lives... Coming soon."

Fans also recalled the Yodha actor`s desire to be a girl-dad, a wish he shared with his mother, Rimma Malhotra. In an old interview, Sidharth sat down with comedian Zakir Khan and got candid about his longstanding wish to be blessed with a girl in their family.

He said, "Humlog do bhai the aur mom humesha bolti thi koi toh shaadi karo, bachche karo. Mere bhai ka bacha hua toh vo bhi ladka, nephew hi hai ek. Meri maa ko abhi bhi umeed hai ki ek toh ladki ho parivaar mein. (We’re two brothers, and Mom would always say, ‘At least one of you get married and have kids.’ My brother had a child, and he’s a boy. So there’s just one nephew. My mom still hopes there will be at least one girl in the family."
Sidharth and Kiara first met at a common friend`s party, and their romance bloomed on the sets of Shershaah. However, they kept their relationship away from the limelight and never went on record to accept or deny dating each other.
It was in February 2023 when they tied the knot in a beautiful yet intimate ceremony in Jaisalmer, with their close friends and family in attendance.
On the work front
Both Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have big releases coming next month. Sidharth will be seen in a romantic comedy, Param Sundari, with Janhvi Kapoor. This is the first time they are collaborating on screen.
As for the new mommy, she has War 2, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The Ayan Mukerji directorial will mark her first action flick. She was also roped in for Ranveer Singh`s Don 3, but she walked out due to her pregnancy.
Param Sundari and War 2 will release on July 25 and August 14, respectively, in cinemas near you.
