The series was nominated in two categories and won in both, bringing the honor to India. Mehta has been soaring high with the successes of his films and TV series in recent years, with Scam 1992 being loved and appreciated by everyone. His film Faraaz (2022) found a lot of critical resonance among critics. So, this news surely brings a lot of validation and more recognition to his work on an international forum.

Scoop was based on the book Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison by Jigna Vora. It tells the story of a journalist who is falsely accused of the murder of another journalist. The series, which was directed by Mehta, garnered a lot of praise when it was released earlier this year, with people appreciating the fearless story as well as Karishma Tanna`s honest portrayal. It went up to the number one spot in Netflix`s top 10 list in India and Bangladesh when it debuted on June 2. It remained in the Top 10 list for a long time, along with becoming a sensation on social media, with everyone showering their love on it.

Besides Karishma Tanna, the series stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Harman Baweja, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Tannishtha Chatterjee, among others. In her post on Twitter, Karishma Tanna thanked Hansal Mehta and the entire team. She attended the ceremony on behalf of the team and looked absolutely stunning in a black sari.
