The makers of the much-awaited `Kantara: Chapter 1` have unveiled a spectacular new poster, sending waves of excitement through fans. Released on actor-director Rishab Shetty’s 42nd birthday, the poster showcases his character in a fierce, primal look, promising a cinematic experience that will delve deep into the origins of the legend. The film is officially set to hit theatres worldwide on October 2, 2025.

The brand-new poster features Rishab Shetty mid-air in a powerful battle stance, oozing raw intensity. Dressed in mediaeval attire and wielding an axe and shield, he appears to be charging out of an inferno. The fiery visuals and Shetty`s dynamic pose hint at a narrative steeped in ancient folklore and high-octane action.

Following the monumental success of `Kantara` (2022), which captivated audiences globally, this prequel promises to be an even grander spectacle. While the first film explored the mystical traditions of coastal Karnataka, `Kantara: Chapter 1` will journey back in time to uncover the very genesis of the divine folklore. Plot details are currently under wraps, but the film is expected to expand on the human-nature conflict that was central to the original.

A Stellar Team Returns
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the prequel brings back the core technical team that made the original a masterpiece. B Ajaneesh Loknath will once again compose the music, with Arvind S Kashyap handling the cinematography. The script is co-written by Anirudh Mahesh and Shanil Guru. In a thrilling addition, action director Todor Lazarov, known for his incredible work on the Oscar-winning `RRR`, has been roped in to choreograph the stunt sequences.
