Kangana Ranaut Compares PM Narendra Modi To Lord Rama, Gets Criticized

The nation has been taken by storm with the results of the state elections pouring in. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading by a majority of seats in states like Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

Amidst the state elections in 2023, Kangana Ranaut has made her mark in trending news with yet another controversial statement.

While the BJP is leading in three states, Congress is enjoying the win in Telangana. For the uninitiated, the state election comprised five states: Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telngana, and Mizoram.

Her tweet read, "Lord Rama has come #Election Results." Reacting to her post, a user replied, "She's literally comparing PM Modi with the Hindu God. Is this allowed in Hinduism?"

The Tanu Weds Manu actress hit back and wrote, "Yes, it is allowed. Shri Krishna has said in Geeta that I am the same as my true devotee there is no difference between him and me we have such cute and chilled-out gods! No beheading, no whip lashing you also come to our team."

"Also, my quote meant that Modi ji has brought Rama ji to Ayodhya, so the public has brought him (victory). But what you understood is also not wrong," Kangana further added, referring to Ram Mandir being constructed in Ayodhya, whose inauguration ceremony will be held in January 2024.

Rumors of the Panga actress venturing into politics and contesting the Lok Sabha 2024 elections have been doing the rounds for the past couple of days. According to sources, Kangana Ranaut indicated her candidacy for the Chandigarh constituency, possibly overtaking actress-politician Kirron Kher as the BJP nominee.

However, the actress trashed the rumors and called them untrue. She said her friends and relatives refrained from sending her the news as they thought this was her actual statement.
