If there's one cricket match that becomes intense and gives us an adrenaline rush, it has to be India vs. Pakistan. As the Asia Cup 2023 kicked off, India secured a glorious win against Pakistan by 228 runs yesterday. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played impressive innings and scored illustrious centuries. Celebrating their wins were their wives and actresses, Anushka Sharma and Athiya Shetty.

The first match of the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 was washed out due to the rain. This gave both teams one point each. The second match was yet again interrupted by rain, but the ICC had arranged a spare day to continue the much-awaited clash.

Anushka Sharma calls Virat Kohli a super guy

Taking it to her Instagram stories, the Sultan actress reacted to Virat's 122 not out. Sharing the photo of her TV screen, she wrote, "Super knock, super guy!" (clapping and red heart emojis)

Anushka also praised KL Rahul for scoring yet another glorious century in the same match. She wrote, "Congratulations KL Rahul (clapping emoji).'



Athiya Shetty cheers for KL Rahul

The Mubarakan actress also took to her Instagram stories and congratulated both cricketers for scoring a stunning hundred against Pakistan by sharing a photo of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul from the match. She wrote, "Champions!"

Athiya also shared a special Instagram post for her husband, in which she captured the moment the cricketer hit a century. Her post read, 'Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise... You are everything, and I love you. #1.'

Joining the actress was her father, Suniel Shetty. On Instagram, the actor congratulated his son-in-law for a terrific performance. His caption read, 'A sublime performancemdasha triumphant return. Gratitude overflows. Grateful to the Almighty for empowering all efforts."

On Monday, India made an eminent score of 356 at the loss of two wickets, thus giving Pakistan a target of 357 to chase. However, the opposition team couldn't even reach half the mark and concluded the match at just 128 for all out.

The credit for an illustrious score goes to Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Both Indian cricketers played magnificent innings and scored centuries. Adding to that was India's incredible bowling.

Kuldeep Yadav's five wickets helped India sink Pakistan. Today, India will play against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023.
