Sharvari Wagh, who made her debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2, has recently started taking Kathak lessons. She credits her idol Madhuri Dixit-Nene for inspiring her to learn the dance form. Having always been in awe of the Devdas actor, she says, “Every time I’d see Madhuri ji’s songs, dance shows or even posts on social media, I’d look online for Kathak teachers to learn the dance form.”
Interestingly, Sharvari isn’t learning from any teacher but by observing Madhuri’s performances. “For me, Kathak actually stems from my love for Madhuri ji. I want to learn it because I’ve seen her perform so well. So, it’s something I’m trying to do because I love her so much, and from that, I’m trying to pick it up and learn it on my own,” she confesses, hoping to dance with Madhuri some day.
