For Falguni Pathak fans who are excited to play Garba this year, they must also be aware of how one of her iconic songs has been recently ruined. Falguni's popular 90's indie song Maine Payal Hain Chankayi was picked up by none other than the queen of remakes, Neha Kakkar. While the original song was beautifully composed, the latest one is equally cringe and horrible. Reacting to the remake, the Garba Queen got candid and reacted on the new version.

Taking to social media to express her disappointment, Falguni Pathak wrote, 'What else could have I done? I could not take legal action.' She further added, 'I was overwhelmed to see so many people write on social media that they love my music, and they didn't like this (Kakkar's) version.'

In a recent interview Pathak said she would have "take legal action" on Neha Kakkar if she could. Unfortunately she didn't know the importance of owning music rights which could've prevented such terrible remakes. 'I wish I was aware back then. Jab khud pe guzarti hai tab pata chalta hai. I regret that I didn't know about it then, otherwise I would have definitely done something about it,' Falguni said.

The Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi singer also clarified that she isn't against the idea of remaking any of her songs but according to her, whoever does it should be passionate about music, not just think about its success. 'I don't mind singing a remake,' she said when asked if she would sing one. 'I am not averse to the idea of remixes and recreations. They have been happening for a long time. But it has to be done with a lot of passion, and the passion has to be only about creating good music. Everything else comes later,' said the Garba singer.
