Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani recently announced their separation in a joint statement. They share two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. The two tied the knot in 2012 and called it quits after 12 long years.
Apart from being a spectacular actress, Esha Deol is also
a doting mom to both of her daughters. In an old interview, she recalled the time when Bharat Takhtani felt neglected by her as she couldn't give enough time and attention to him.
Esha published and launched her book in 2020, and in the process, she revealed quite some intimate details about her personal life. Her book is titled Amma Mia: Stories, Advice, and Recipes from One Mother to Another.

In her book, the Dhoom actress opened up about how her
ex-husband became very cranky when she was dealing with her two infant daughters.
"After my second baby, for a short while, I noticed that Bharat was cranky and irritated with me. He felt that I wasn't giving him enough attention. It is very natural for a husband to feel this way because, at that time, I was consumed with Radhya's playschool fiasco and feeding Miraya, and I was also between writing my book and dealing with my production meetings. So, he felt neglected," Esha said.

I remembered the times when Bharat had asked me for a new toothbrush, and it had slipped my mind, or when his shirts hadn't been pressed, or when I sent him off to work without bothering to check what he'd been given for lunch," she further added.
Esha Deol calls Bharat Takhtani a simple man
In her book, she even mentioned how Takhtani is a man of few needs who likes to live a simple life. When Esha realized she was not making enough efforts in her marriage, she immediately took corrective measures.
"He's a man of very few needs, and if I couldn't look after him, there was something wrong. I quickly made sure to rectify it. Bharat is different he tells me directly, to my face, if he senses a problem. But there may be men who are not so forthcoming," said the Kaal actress.

I figured that I hadn't gone out for date nights or a movie with him in a while. So I decided to step out of my tracks, loosen my bun, wear a nice dress, and go out with him on the weekends."

For the uninitiated, Esha Deol is the daughter of legendary actors
Hema Malini and Dharmendra. She has an older sister, Ahana Deol, who stayed away from the limelight.
Recently, the actress released a joint statement with her former husband as they announced their separation.
'We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children are and will be of utmost importance to us. We'd appreciate our privacy being respected," read their statement.
