In a surprising turn of events that has set the Indian film industry abuzz, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has reportedly been dropped from a much-anticipated project with controversial director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This development comes hot on the heels of actress Deepika Padukone`s own contentious exit from another of Vanga`s films, raising questions about the director`s recent casting decisions.
This news follows a similar pattern of high-profile departures from Vanga`s camp. Just weeks ago, Deepika Padukone was reportedly removed from the Prabhas-starrer Spirit. The reason, it is believed, was her requests for an eight-hour workday, a significant fee, and a share in the film`s profits, which did not sit well with the filmmakers. As a new mother, Deepika is reportedly looking to strike a better work-life balance.

Despite their respective fallouts with Vanga, Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone are set to unite on screen for the first time in an upcoming film directed by Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6. Dispelling earlier rumours of a two-hero script, Allu Arjun’s team has confirmed that the stylish star will be seen in a dual role. The ambitious project is expected to commence filming in mid-2025 and is slated for a grand release in 2026.
Allu Arjun Out, Jr NTR In?
According to a recent report, Allu Arjun, who had apparently signed on for a film with the Animal director last year, is no longer associated with the project. While there has been no official confirmation from either party, industry insiders suggest the film has been put on the back burner. Vanga`s Fiery Response
The director did not remain silent on the matter. In a thinly veiled post on X, Sandeep Reddy Vanga launched a scathing attack, accusing an unnamed actress of playing "dirty PR games." He wrote, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story?
