Dhadak Trailer: Janhvi and Ishaan will make you skip your heartbeats, this July

The much awaited trailer of ‘Dhadak’, the official remake of the Marathi blockbuster, ‘Sairat’, dropped this afternoon, introducing us to two of the newest star kids on the block.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, known for ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Dhadak’ introduces us to Ishaan Khatter as Madhukar and Janhvi Kapoor as Parthavi. Madhukar and Parthavi fall in love despite their social differences but when their families disagree to their match, does fate hold an uncertain future for them.
Expectations are high from the film and the cast to deliver as ‘Dhadak’ marks the debut of Ishaan and Janhvi who belong to reputable film families. Ishaan is Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother and in the rushes of the trailer, he does remind us of Shahid from his initial days. Janhvi, being the daughter of India’s most respected actress, the late Sridevi, is likely to invite a lot of comparisons.
‘Dhadak’ is the official adaptation of director Nagraj Manjule’s ‘Sairat’, which became the first Marathi film to gross over a 100 crores, worldwide. The film also picked up two National Awards including Special Jury Award for lead actress Rinku Rajguru.
Produced by Dharma Productions, the film’s chartbuster track ‘Zingaat’ has been retained in its authenticity and music composers Ajay-Atul, who earlier worked with Dharma for ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Brothers’, have been roped in for the music of the film.
‘Dhadak’ is all set to release on July 20th, 2018.
