The recently released trailer has already set the internet abuzz, promising a gripping murder mystery infused with a healthy dose of dark comedy. Dosanjh is stepping into the shoes of an unconventional cop, marking a significant departure from his usual on-screen personas.
The trailer showcases Dosanjh`s fresh take on a brilliant investigator. Zee5 captioned the trailer launch with, "A murder with many suspects. And a sher with the chaabi to everyone`s dil. Are you ready?" In a quirky moment, the detective describes himself, stating that for white people, he is Sherlock; for Indians, he is Byomkesh; and for his parents, he is Karamchand.

Helmed by debutant director Ravi Chhabriya, who also edited the film, "Detective Sherdil" features a stellar ensemble cast. Written by Sagar Bajaj, Ravi Chhabriya, and Ali Abbas Zafar, this film marks Zafar`s second collaboration with Diljit after the critically acclaimed "Jogi."

What`s the Mystery About?
The story unfolds in the picturesque city of Budapest, where billionaire tycoon Pankaj Bhatti, played by the veteran Boman Irani, is murdered in cold blood on a highway. What initially seems like a straightforward hate crime soon unravels into a complex case entangled with family secrets, billion-dollar motives, and shocking betrayals. Diljit, as the titular Detective Sherdil, is on the case.
