According to Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, the car had stopped at the red light near the Red Fort Metro Station when the explosion occurred. The blast’s intensity caused significant damage to nearby vehicles and left several people injured.
Authorities have since registered a case under multiple stringent laws, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigators have obtained CCTV footage showing the suspect’s car entering and exiting the parking area. Initial findings suggest that the suspect was alone at the time of the incident.
