Deepika Padukone opens up on struggling with being a new mother
In September 2024, one of Bollywood`s most adorable couples, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, welcomed their first child. The internet was taken by storm after knowing they were blessed with a baby girl. They named her Dua Padukone Singh.
Two months after Dua came into the world, Deepika and Ranveer were seen in Rohit Shetty`s Singham Again. However, the actress hasn`t shot any new project after giving birth.
Now, Deepika Padukone opened up about struggling with becoming a new mother, going through mom guilt, and plans to get back to the movies. Her explanation is as real and relatable as it can get.

Recently, at the Forbes 30/50 Global Summit in Abu Dhabi, the new mommy revealed how she manages her time as a new mother and plans to get back to work without feeling guilty.

“I think where I`m at in my life right now is how do I manage my time as a mother, as a new mother, with getting back to—and I`m sure there are some incredible women here who can give me some wise, some wisdom, whatever—but to be able to manage my daughter and her life and get back to work without feeling guilt. I think that is something I`m figuring out. I won`t say I am struggling with it, but I`m still figuring it out,” Deepika said.
For the uninitiated, the new parents have kept their personal lives away from the limelight ever since their daughter was born.
Deepika Padukone`s plans of getting back to work
The Tamasha actress also spoke about how motherhood has influenced the kind of work she would like to take on in the future.
She explained, “Yes, I think motherhood in itself has been so incredible that I`m sure somewhere, if not consciously, subconsciously, it will influence the kind of movies and the roles that I choose to do moving forward. Having said that, I do believe that I`ve been pretty aware and conscious even before motherhood.”
While nothing is confirmed, there are speculations about Deepika Padukone joining forces with Diljit Dosanjh for a special music video choreographed by Farah Khan, who also directed the actress in her debut film, Om Shanti Om.
