Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 3: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Crosses 100 Crore

Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical action film, Chhaava, has stormed the box office, crossing the 100 crore mark within just three days of its release. The film, which hit theatres on February 14, has managed to collect an impressive ₹116.5 crore in the domestic market, making it the biggest Bollywood grosser of the year so far.
One of the major factors contributing to its success is the cult popularity of Sambhaji Maharaj in Maharashtra. The film has been performing exceptionally well in the state, prompting exhibitors to add additional shows to meet the high demand. Interestingly, the contribution from the rest of the Indian market (excluding Maharashtra) was over 50 per cent, proving that the film has resonated with audiences beyond the state.

Vicky Kaushal delivers a powerful performance as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. This film marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kaushal and Mandanna. The cast also includes Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai.

The film saw a massive jump in its box office numbers on its first Sunday. Chhaava recorded an overall 62.48 per cent Hindi occupancy, reflecting strong audience interest. The film’s overseas performance has also been notable, earning 18.4 crore by the third day of its release.
