The highly anticipated promotional tour for the upcoming comedy flick Housefull 5 took an unexpectedly chaotic turn in Pune on Sunday. What began as an exciting opportunity for fans to see their favourite stars, including Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sonam Bajwa, quickly escalated as an immense crowd surged, prompting Akshay Kumar himself to intervene and appeal for calm.
The venue was packed to the rafters, with every available space, from the main event zone to the upper floors and corridors, occupied by eager fans. Several videos that rapidly went viral on social media depicted the alarming scenes, showing young girls and women in tears. Those positioned further back were seen pushing and shoving in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the stars, leading to a stampede-like situation.
Amidst the escalating pandemonium, with some children reportedly separated from their parents, the cast members showed concern. Jacqueline Fernandez was notably seen comforting a distressed young girl who had gotten separated from her family, ensuring she was safe until reunited.
Recognising the urgent need for order, Akshay Kumar quickly took the microphone. With a calm but firm tone, he addressed the overzealous crowd. "Dhakka dhukki mat kariye, please. Haath jod ke vinanti karta hoon, yaha auratein hai, bacche hai...I request everyone, please.” Akshay appealed with folded hands, urging everyone to exercise caution and prevent any mishaps. The visible tension on the faces of the other cast members underscored the seriousness of the situation.
