Brahmastra Creates History, Becomes First Ever Bollywood Film To Top Worldwide Box Office

The much-anticipated movie of the year Brahmastra finally released on Sepember 9. Despite garnering mixed reviews, the movie created a history in Bollywood by becoming the first ever Hindi film to top the worldwide box office charts. The Alia Bhatt - Ranbir Kapoor starrer is also the third Indian film to dominate the global entertainment world. WIth the first being Vijay starrer Master and S.S. Rajamouli`s RRR, Brahmastra becomes another addition to represent Indian cinema globally.
As of today, Brahmastra has grossed a total of $26.50 million (INR 210 crores), out of which $18 million was collected from India, $4.50 million from North America and other $4 million from markets like Australia, UK, UAE, etc.
Additionally, the Ayan Mukerji directorial becomes the first Indian film to ever top the Australian box office. Other markets where the movie made a thunderous opening are India, UAE, Canada, and New Zealand. It also opened at number 2 in the USA and number 3 in Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
