Animal has started to break records right on its opening day. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Suresh Oberoi, and Shakti Kapoor in important roles. It had received a phenomenal pre-release buzz after the trailer was released that just blew everyone's minds owing to the portrayal of the intense father-son bond.

Animal Rises to 5th Spot in Terms of Advance Booking

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Animal managed to get an advance booking of over 4.56 lakhs, making it get to the number 5 position in the top 10 list of highest advance bookings.

Animal surpassed War (4.10 lakhs), Thugs of Hindostan (3.46 lakhs), Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo (3.40 lakhs), Bharat (3.16 lakhs), and Tiger 3 (3.15 lakhs) to get to number 5 on the list. It managed to do an advance booking of over Rs. 4.56 lakh. It is expected to cross the 100 crore mark on Day 1 itself on its worldwide collection. Along with that, it is all set to give Ranbir Kapoor his biggest opening of his career in Bollywood.

Writing about it, Taran Adarsh said, "Animal starts on a fantastic note... From urban centers to mass pockets, from multiplexes to single screens, from Tier-1 to Tier-2 and Tier-3 centers, from East to West and from North to South, it's animal mania all across... This was possible due to the explosive nature of the trailer and teaser that came out recently. Speaking about his character in the film, Ranbir said, "This is the darkest film I have done because I am not playing any psycho killers in it. It is just the character, his mind, and the way he operates. His psyche is very dark. It is not somebody who I am or can relate to."

Adding further, he said, "It was very interesting for me to play him on screen because it was a very new, original character. I am glad I collaborated with Sandeep on this because I got a lot from him, about heroism, about characters, and about a grey part like this."

Animal has a mammoth runtime of over 3 hours and 23 minutes and has been given an 'A' certificate by the censor board. It is the third directorial venture of Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.
