She has already started shooting for her next project with Vicky Kaushal, titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.

Tripti Dimri to Star Alongside Kartik Aaryan in a New Film

Now, it is reported that she will be seen romancing Kartik Aaryan in the third part of the popular film franchise Aashiqui 3. The film will be helmed by Barfi director Anurag Basu, and it is expected to go on floors early next year. It was earlier rumored that the female lead would be played by actresses like Tara Sutaria and Jennifer Winget, among others. But now, the makers have confirmed the news, with Tripti playing the role.

Aashiqui was released back in 1990 and featured Rahul Roy and Pooja Bhatt in a love story. The film was renewed for a second part in 2013, with Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead couple. Now, it remains to be seen if Kartik-Tripti manages to surpass the expectations of audiences. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar under his company, T-Series.

Before Animal, Tripti Dimri had already received a lot of accolades for her performances in films like Bulbbul and Qala. Both of these films were directed by Anvita Dutt and weren't really mainstream films. With Animal, Tripti found unprecedented mainstream success, and there seems to be no going back now. Moving on, she will further sign more films as her popularity is on the rise.
