1. Mr. India - 1987

The most successful sci-fi Bollywood movie became an instant children's favorite. The superhit movie of that era was first offered to Amitabh Bachchan. However, he didn't feel the role was right for him and rejected the same. Anil Kapoor then stepped in and rest is history.

2. Qurbani - 1980

The Feroze Khan and vinod Khanna starrer superhit movie was first offered to Big B. The actor said no to the movie as he didn't want to do any supporting role.

3. Ishq - 1997

Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn starrer comedy was one of 90s most loved Bollywood film. Initially offered to Mr. Bachchan, he denied the offer due to some misunderstanding between director Indra Kumar and him. Missing out on this one didn't really affect his career but it would have been a treat watching him in the comedy drama.

4. Mission Kashmir - 2000

By the time Mission Kashmir released, Big B's career had taken a successful flight. And that's why rejecting this movie wasn't that big of a deal. He was offered the lead role but he refused the offer due to unavailability of dates. Bachchan was shooting for Yash Chopra's Mohabbatein.

5. Slumdog Millionaire - 2008

It is not a surprise to know that the legendary actor was the first choice for the movie since he already has fair amount of experience of putting people on the hot seat. Having said that, he didn't feel the role was a right fit for him and chose not to be a part of the successful international movie. Once again, Big B's loss was Anil Kapoor's gain.
