Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has once again proved why he remains an unstoppable force in the Indian entertainment industry. At the age of 82, the legendary actor has emerged as India’s highest tax-paying celebrity for the financial year 2024-25, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan.
Despite his age, Big B remains one of the most sought-after actors, with leading brands and filmmakers vying for his presence. A source close to the industry stated, “From doing some of the biggest feature films in Indian cinema to being the top pick for most of the brands, Amitabh Bachchan is an actor in demand even at the age of 82. He is also the most loved host on television with Kaun Banega Crorepati.”

His final advance tax installment of 52.5 crore was paid on March 15, 2025, ensuring that he continues his streak of timely tax payments.
