Alia Bhatt to make her Cannes debut in 2025
After Aishwarya Rai, Nitanshi Goel, and Janhvi Kapoor turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival, it is Alia Bhatt who is heading to make her glorious debut. Rumours suggested the Jigra actress will be skipping the festival amid India-Pakistan tensions post the Pahalgam terror attack.
However, on Friday early morning, Alia was spotted at the Mumbai airport as she made her way to the French Riviera for making her much-anticipated Cannes debut.
The diva exuded a chic airport look, donning a beige trench coat over a fitted white top and blue denims. She finished her look with open hair and a pair of dark aviators before flashing a brief smile at the paparazzi.

Was Alia Bhatt going to skip Cannes?
Alia`s airport appearance comes days after reports suggested that she might skip her debut at Cannes to stand in solidarity with her country during the geopolitical tensions with Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.

A source quoted to Mid-day, “As the L`Oreal ambassador, Alia was supposed to make her Cannes debut. She was slated to attend the grand opening ceremony, for which she had to fly over the weekend. But in the current times of geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan, she wanted to express solidarity with the country and decided against going."
The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress shared her excitement about her big debut at the prestigious film festival. She took to her Instagram stories and shared a snippet of her Gucci bag with essentials, some books, and a tote full of beauty products with ‘I`m worth it’ written over it. Sharing the image, she wrote, “Off we go...”
All about Alia Bhatt`s first Cannes
The superstar, who made her Met Gala debut in 2023, will now be making her Cannes debut in 2025. This is through her association with beauty brand L`Oréal Paris. She is expected to join Aishwarya Rai in the film festival, which opened on May 13.

Sharing her excitement about the same, Alia said, “There’s something absolutely special about firsts — and I’m so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression.
