In all of the comedy movies that Bollywood has given us, Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri has been one of those iconic movie franchise that made us laugh till our jaws hurt. The main chracters - Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiyya - were highlights of the movie. And when the makers announced Hera Pheri 3 with the same star cast, Bollywood fans couldn't keep calm and were jumping with joy. However, it turns out our excitement was short-lived. Akshay Kumar just confirmed he will no longer be a part of Hera Pheri 3.

Amidst the rumors of makers looking to rope in Kartik Aaryan for Akshay Kumar's iconic character Raju, the latter confirmed the shocking news and left his fans disappointed. The script didn't feel appealing enough to Akshay and hence, he decided not to move further with it. However, some say it is the budget-clash between him and the producers that paved the way for Aaryan to step into Akshay's role. While the OG Raju asked for about Rs. 90 Crores, the Dhamak actor was ready to play the part in just Rs. 30 Crores.

The original plan was to bring in Hera Pheri 3 with Abhishek Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, John Abraham and Paresh Rawal in it. However, the makers put it on back burner. Recently, Radio City exclusively shared that Akshay Kumar had stepped into the project and was planning the sequel of his iconic Bollywood films - Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana, and Welcome.

Paresh Rawal confirmed the news of Kartik replacing Mr. Khiladi when a fan tweeted him asking, "@SirPareshRawal sir is it true that kartik aryan is doing Hera Pheri 3 ??" To which he replied, "Yes it's true." We wish this was just another Bollywood rumor and our OG Raju was back in the game, bringing his ace ITUS degree (only true Hera Pheri fans will know what we mean).
