Every year, the diva keeps the predictable classics aside and surprises her fans with something bold and unique. From the eyebrow-raising lilac lipstick to Gaurav Gupta`s ceremonious silhouettes and now, the dramatic sindoor – nothing seems off-limits in Aish`s sartorial fashion rulebook.
This year, the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actress turned heads at the Cannes red carpet in a stunning Manish Malhotra gold and ivory creation. Her gorgeous smile was the best accessory she`d worn.
Decoding Aishwarya Rai`s Cannes 2025 look
This year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opted for a classic handwoven white and ivory kadwa Banarasi saree, reimagined with a couture gown and a handwoven tissue drape. The ivory and gold look came along with a long, sheer train with intricate gold embroidery and sequin details that acted like a dupatta.
The saree featured handwoven brocade motifs and hand-embroidered zari detailing with real chandi, extending all over the fabric.
The Jodha Akbar actor tied it all together with 500 carats of Mozambique rubies and uncut diamonds set in 18k gold around her neck from Manish Malhotra`s custom jewellery.

But what truly stood out was the extra dramatic flair of that red line of sindoor (vermillion) glowing through her hair. Aishwarya rubbished all the divorce rumours with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, in style.
