ACP Pradyuman to die in CID
CID, one of the most loved TV shows, has been one of the longest-running serials that has entertained us for over two decades. Now, a shocking development has been announced that might leave fans stunned and upset. Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman, is all set to die.
Pradyuman`s role was inspired by leadership and fearlessness in such investigative agencies. As per close sources, his character`s journey will come to an end as ACP Pradyuman will be seen dying in one of the upcoming episodes when he gets involved in a bomb mishap.
A source close to the development revealed that in the upcoming episodes, Barbosa (Tigmanshu Dhulia) will plant a bomb to take down the CID team. While other members would survive this deadly plan, the ACP would end up as bait, losing his life to the incident.

For the uninitiated, Tigmanshu Dhulia returned to the show after more than six years to play the ruthless and menacing Barbosa, the leader of the Eye Gang.
"The team recently shot the episode, which will go on air in a few days. As of now, not many details have been shared, as the makers want this to be a big shocker for fans," the source added.
However, it has been a pertinent pattern of CID characters who were shown to have died, only to come back to life. The makers do not intend to do the same with ACP Pradyuman.
In an old interview with India Today, Shivaji Satam opened up about the popularity the show garnered when it first released in 1998. He said, "Most people, especially youngsters, always imagine having heroes in their lives. And police officers are people we admire and have imbibed good values from."
"So, when you see their stories on screen in such a larger-than-life scenario, it makes for a great watch. Also, these characters are human – they don`t fly or jump but are just good at their jobs," he further added.
The first episode of CID was aired on January 21, 1998, on Sony Entertainment Television. The elite trio of ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet became an instant fan favourite.
The crime investigation show was earlier relaunched this year on Sony. It is also streaming on Netflix.
