Abhishek Bachchan Reveals Why He Never Asks Aradhya To Review His Films

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai complete 19 years of their marriage today. Despite going through many speculations and controversies, their bond has only strengthened over the years.
The couple tied the knot in 2007 and welcomed their first child, a daughter whom they named Aradhya, in 2011. Ever since, the little one has been the centre of their universe.
In a recent interview, Abhishek revealed he never asks his daughter to review his movies. He said as a father, he`s probably not ready for her brutal honesty.

In a conversation with IFP, the actor was asked about his daughter`s views and reactions to his films. To which, his reply was clear: “I will never ask her.”
Explaining the same, Bachchan said, “I will let that thought remain in my head. Once she answers—whether she likes it or not—it’s going to change and alter the way I approach my work. Out of duty, I don’t ask her because maybe I’m not strong enough to hear what she has to say. I would rather live in the illusion of what she might want or not want.”

The Guru actor further added, “Children today are very confident and know exactly what they want. They’re very good at communicating it. For people of my generation, it can sometimes be difficult to just listen, because they are brutally honest—and while they should be, it’s not always what you want to hear."
"As a parent, I want to do the work I believe in without being influenced by her opinion right now. Maybe that will change with time. If I’m around when she has her own children, I might ask her then. But as of now, I don’t want to be influenced by what she thinks,” Abhishek concluded.

One of the most adored couples in Bollywood, Abhishek and Aishwarya completed 19 years of their marriage on April 20.
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress took to Instagram and shared a couple of adorable pictures from what looked like an intimate family celebration. Their daughter, Aradhya Bachchan, was also a part of the special day.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan`s King. The movie brings together a spectacular ensemble of actors like Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Anil Kapoor.
Apart from this, he will also play a Maratha warrior in Riteish Deshmukh`s directorial, Raja Shivaji. The film releases on May 1 in cinemas near you.
