When Aamir Khan's Dangal came back in 2016, it created a huge jolt in the industry. Everyone praised his transformation and performance of a father willing to do anything to make his daughters win a medal for India.

The film which was directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also starred Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.

Apart from the film's undying spirit, what also made the news were the link up rumors of Aamir Khan and Fatima Shaikh. More so, because just after some time, Aamir Khan divorced his ex-wife Kiran Rao.

After that they were seen together lot of times, going out. Even recently, Aamir and Fatima's video of playing pickle in Mumbai went viral.

Now news has come that Aamir Khan's production has roped in Fatima for a new film that is going to be helmed by Advait Chandan. Chandan had earlier directed Lal Singh Chaddha and Secret Superstar. The film is expected to go on floor early next year and it seems that Advait is working on some finer changes in the script.

This news has caused quite a spark among netizens who are speculating if Fatima and Aamir are indeed dating. They were seen together in Thugs of Hindostan after the success of Dangal. And now this new development has provoked the rumor further. There has never been any official statement given by the two in the matter.

It remains to be seen what shape these rumors take.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan was on a sabbatical since the failure of his last film Lal Singh Chaddha. In a interview, he revealed that he spent time with his family in the last one year and just reflected back on his life which was majorly spent only in working and working. He also told everyone that his daughter Ira Khan is going to marry her fiance Nupur Shikhare next year.

On the other hand, Fatima Sana Shaikh was recently seen in the film Dhak Dhak with Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah and Sanjana Sanghi. She will next be seen in Sam Bahadur essaying the role of Indira Gandhi.
