Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Panu's mystery-thriller Netflix film Hassen Dilruba has won many hearts. It became the most-watched Hindi film on Netflix in 2021. Not just that, the movie gained the top 10 spots in around 22 countries. The story revolves around Taapsee and Vikrant who played Rani and Rishabh, who tied knots in an arranged marriage. However, things take a turn when Rani gets indulged with her husband's cousin brother, Neel Tripathi, played by Harshwardhan Rane.

As per the latest reports, makers are planning for a sequel to the movie Haseen Dilruba. Makers are in talks with the producers and Netflix for the same. Writer Kanika Dhillon is all set to return with her pen to the sequel. It is expected that she will take the story forward where she left it before which left the viewers guessing about what happened next?

According to a source, 'There is interest in the film because it broke into the Indian market in a way that no other Hindi movie on Netflix was able to. Its success can be attributed to its story and pulpy treatment. The producers and the streaming giant are pursuing the idea of a sequel. Writer Kanika Dhillon is toying with the idea of picking up the narrative from where the first part ended."

About the sequel, Taapsee Pannu said 'All I can say at this point is that I can't deny (the news)." Meanwhile, The actress will next be seen in Shabaash Mithu.

The film is helmed by Vinil Mathew and is produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the Colour Yellow Productions, Eros International, and T-Series production banner.
